You know that afternoon slump that you feel nearly everyday?
What if I told you I could help you boost your energy in the afternoons?
These are all some very simple steps so you no longer suffer from low energy in the afternoons.
That means you’ll have a clearer mind, and no feel like you need a cap nap after lunch.
Here’s how to boost your energy in the afternoons”
🌱Healthy Fat Mid-morning Snack Grab 1/2 an avocado with a pitch of salt, a handful of almonds or some cacao energy balls instead of that second morning coffee.
🌱Sub your afternoon coffee for a superfood beverage Look, I didn’t say you had to give up coffee altogether. Just switch it out for a fun superfood beverage like a beet or chai latte or iced matcha, hold the sugar, sub milk for plant-based alternative.
Make sure you also sub the milk for a dairy-free option. I personally really love oat milk. Also, be sure you say no on the sugar.
🌱Look at what you had for lunch. Did you have a heavy meal? Lots of animal products or cheeses? Was it heavy in carbs? That should surely be the cause of feeling like you always need an afternoon nap.
Instead had a lighter lunch with easy to digest foods.
🌱Have fruit as a snack. I know, I know you feel like you want to reach for a cookie, but that will only make you more sleepy. There is so much energy in fresh fruit. I love green apples, peaches, pears, and plums.
🌱Meditate. It don’t have to be hard or take a long time, but meditation helps to reset your system. So take a break and meditate for 5 minutes.
🌱Ashwaganda. It’s a calming supplement that smoothes everything out. You’ll feel more balanced and at ease.
After implementing these things into your afternoon routine, you’ll start feeling more refreshed in the afternoons!
